The Ohio Power Siting Board denied the Crossroads Solar Grazing Center’s permit application in March 2026.

On March 19, 2026, the OPSB voted to deny Crossroads Solar’s permit application, depriving Morrow County farmers the right to decide how to use their land. As detailed in its application for rehearing filed on April 20, 2026, Crossroads believes OPSB’s decision was unlawful and unreasonable, violating multiple provisions of the Ohio Revised Code and clear precedent established by the Ohio Supreme Court. Crossroads has initiated the appeal process to ensure that private property rights are respected, that Ohio can meet its rapidly growing demand for power, and that siting authority for major utility facilities remains where it was vested by the Ohio Legislature and the Ohio Supreme Court—with the OPSB.
