To the Ohio Power Siting Board,
I am writing in support of the Crossroads Solar Grazing Center (Case #25-0142-EL-BGN).
Crossroads Solar would provide a major and sustained investment in Morrow County while helping preserve farmland. In addition to the clean, affordable energy the project will generate, Crossroads is committed to using sheep grazing at the project site. This will keep the land in agricultural use, supporting local sheep farmers and contributing to the growth of Ohio’s sheep industry.
Crossroads will also bring reliable, long-term revenue to fund local schools, infrastructure, first responders, and other essential services – all at no cost to local taxpayers. Unlike other forms of development, solar projects do this without straining local infrastructure or irreversibly impacting the land or soil.
It’s a win-win for our community and our state. I strongly encourage the approval of the Crossroads Solar Grazing Center.
